Alex began wrestling at age 9 in Baltimore, Maryland. He capped his youth career with a runner-up finish at the MJWL state tournament and back-to-back school MVP awards. Alex placed in several tournaments throughout his varsity career including top finishes at the MIAA ‘A’ conference tournament and the MIS state tournament, earning him three trips to the National Prep Championships.

Alex spent one semester wrestling at Washington & Jefferson College before transferring to Gettysburg College where he competed for the remainder of his college career.

Alex is currently a varsity wrestling coach at his alma mater, the Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, where he recently won the William H Gamper/Drew Haugh Award for his contribution to the Laker wrestling program.
