Some Surfing History

Having placed in a few surf events himself (a perennial Senior competitor), Loard Blars found his place on the folding chair, a soggy heat sheet on his clipboard and a mic in his hand.

He was known as the "Voice of Hawaiian Surfing" throughout much of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. Sir Lord Tally Ho Blears was often considered the greatest voice in contest surfing.
